Death Cab for Cutie - song rewritten

The following song is a revision of my rewrite of a wonderfully haunting and melancholy love song. I decided it was time for the couple who walk into the dark together to journey to the light.

Melody from the song:
“I WILL FOLLOW YOU INTO THE DARK”
by Death Cab for Cutie

New lyrics and title:

Together We Will Be Good Company

In this life of mine I’m trying to divine
All that I need to know and to just let it go
No more thoughts or cares
Nothing to hold me where any pain might dwell
I am learning to forgive
...
And if ever I need to find my way through the night
I know that I can follow you into the light
I’ll open my heart wide to hear you deep inside
Together we will journey to the light
And if ever you need to find the light then come with me
Together we will find good company
...
In this life I’ve learned to follow the golden rule
To turn the other cheek, to be humble and meek
In my heart I know each day that comes my way
Is my opportunity to find whatever I may seek
...
And if ever I need to find my way through the night
I know that I can follow you into the light
I’ll open my heart wide to hear you deep inside
Together we will journey to the light
And if ever you need to find the light then come with meT
ogether we will find good company
...
nce more its time to put on a smile and try
To live for the present time to let each moment pass on by
Together we make our lives whatever we need to be
This world’s a gift we give to each other to set us free
...
And if ever I need to find my way through the night
I know that I can follow you into the light
I’ll open my heart wide to hear you deep inside
Together we will journey to the light
And if ever you need to find the light then come with me
Together we will find good company
Together we will be good company

...

Original title and lyrics by
DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE
I Will Follow You Into The Dark

Love of mine some day you will die

But I'll be close behind

I'll follow you into the dark

No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white

Just our hands clasped so tight

Waiting for the hint of a spark

If heaven and hell decide

That they both are satisfied

Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you

When your soul embarks

Then I'll follow you into the dark

In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule

I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black

And I held my tongue as she told me

"Son fear is the heart of love"

So I never went back

If heaven and hell decide

That they both are satisfied

Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you

When your soul embarks

Then I'll follow you into the dark

You and me have seen everything to see

From Bangkok to Calgary

And the soles of your shoes are all worn down

The time for sleep is now

It's nothing to cry about

Cause we'll hold each other soon

The blackest of rooms

If heaven and hell decide

That they both are satisfied

Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you

When your soul embarks

Then I'll follow you into the dark

Then I'll follow you into the dark

Spiritual Advice and Psychic Reading – My Personal Technique

Whatever you may think about how the process of spiritual advising or psychic reading may work I wish to make it clear to you how I work. You may find that the way I define my work is familiar to you or you may consider it to be very different from your expectations. Either way, I hope you will understand what it is I have to offer to people who are in need of a little help with their lives and that you will have the confidence to approach me or someone like myself if you yourself are seeking assistance to be a happier healthier person.

Like anyone else in life I am just another person, like you, who has been prone to make mistakes. I still make mistakes but I am not concerned about making mistakes because I have learned that each mistake is a learning opportunity which will help me to grow and become a better human being.

While you may not realize it, you also have a spiritual strength or psychic ability not unlike my own. If there is a difference in our abilities it may be that one of us has studied and practiced using their abilities while the other one may have had less opportunity to recognize their own spiritual gift and develop it. You and I are much alike no matter how many differences we may find between us; this is one of the reasons why it may be possible for me to be your psychic reader or your spiritual advisor. I already share with you in my heart many of the same things you have found within your own heart and so I can easily empathize with your own experiences and circumstances.

A lot of my work is accomplished by a process of trial and error. Most of that process is invisible to you because it takes place in my thoughts and you often will only know of the results of my efforts to understand your situation and discover what you need to know to help you become a happier healthier person without knowing all of the mistakes I may make along my way to help you. What happens when I think about you and open my heart to feel what your spirit needs to say is that I test different ideas about what may have happened to you until I come across the ideas which feel right to me. You and I may grow much closer to each other in this process and eventually I may even begin to channel your own spirit's words to you for you to listen to and to heed.

Typically, I do not dredge up a lot of personal information and details about your life which you already know. What I do is to look for places within your heart and mind where there are conflicts and discord. I then try to understand why you are in turmoil within yourself and what approach is best suited to help you resolve these dilemmas within yourself so that you may be freed from the burdens of any past mistakes or misunderstandings which may be hampering your efforts to improve yourself and become a more generous, loving, nurturing human being. In this manner I may be allowed to guide you to discover for yourself how you will make yourself happier and healthier.

I will not say that there is no magick involved in this process, for there is a very special kind of spiritual magick involved. But it lies completely within your own power to heal yourself and to make yourself a happier human being. I may only be fortunate enough to be able to show you the way. You must still do all the really hard work yourself.

Fortunately, while our own personal spiritual work can be very difficult for us at times it is never beyond our abilities to accomplish it. You will need only a few important things to begin helping yourself to live a happier healthier life.

Foremost you will need to love yourself deeply and fully for everything which you now are or have ever been. Additionally, you will need to forgive yourself and all others for any harm you may have done or received. Finally you will need to resolve every conflict or turmoil within yourself so that you cease to afflict yourself with anything which may harm you or hinder your happiness.

Ultimately we are each the creators of our own lives. Our own hearts and minds are responsible for everything which we experience. This is a good thing because it means it is always within our power to improve our lives. You may never have known this before, or if you have heard these words before, you may have failed to understand how to use this advice to empower yourself to successfully change your life to make it better. I am here to be your guide in this regard and I will attempt to show you how to empower yourself to effectively take control of your life and become the happier healthier person you wish to be.

I welcome you to take a few steps with me along your spiritual journey, warm regards from Greg

Any remuneration offered to me with regard to my work on your behalf will also be considered to represent your approval and appreciation of my service, and shall be deemed sufficient grounds to exonerate me from any responsibility for your subsequent actions or behavior.

My apologies for the unpleasant neccessity of relying on a 'terms of service and laibility contract' but I have accepted wise advise regarding this matter and I have agreed to act responsibly in regard to that advice. In regard to this advice I would be unable to provide any service, free or otherwise, without first securing your agreement to these terms.

My thanks for your consideration and understanding, best regards from Greg

Homeless People – Some of the Best People on Earth

CREDITS: Written in my own voice, partly channeled from an unknown source…

Our cultures reward competitiveness and make those of us with the strongest competitive traits the wealthiest people on our planet. If we examine some of the poorest people in society, our homeless, we see a distinct lack of a competitive spirit in many of them. Our culture is predisposed to perceive this as a flaw but what if it is a virtue?

Too often we may find ourselves confronted by the plights of a homeless person and shrink away with a silent prayer that they will not approach us or bother us for money. We shirk our responsibilities to these people daily. But we are part of a world which has created and maintains a large homeless population and we have some obligations to share our good fortune with them, even if it is only to smile and greet them warmly and share a kind word with them.
A kind word and our acceptance and appreciation for who these people are may often be of far more value to a homeless person than the dollar or two we might give them or our cast off clothes. Instead we shun the homeless, we attempt to ignore their presence among us, and in this way we degrade them and devalue them making them less than ourselves in our own eyes. But truly we are all equals on earth; our accomplishments and wealth do not make us better than anyone else. The regard we give to those of wealth and power is a reflection of our own avarice, we wish we ourselves could be that powerful or wealthy and we idolize those that achieve that level of success because we want to achieve as much for ourselves.
Also, the winners get the best publicity and have the most influence on our cultural values, so they make sure that they are perceived in the best possible light and that the competitive streak which got them to the top is worshipped as a great virtue.
But that competitive spirit can go too far. It can rend our society with its values as it drives the division between the wealthiest and poorest people ever deeper. More and more of our wealth is flowing into fewer hands which is driving the middle class deeper into poverty. So what is accepted as a virtue, a strong competitive nature, may not be virtuous.
One other reason we accept the notion of a strong competitive nature as being virtuous is because it is the bread winners of our families who support us and whom we personally venerate for their success and their ability to care for us and to give us our comforts.
What would be the consequence of failing to have a competitive streak?
If we were to look into another person’s eyes and see their need to succeed and step aside because we are not so driven as they are because we hate to win and to make some other person lose then we may naturally migrate to the bottom ranks of society and accept marginal lifestyles that at best may be barely subsistent and at worst can make us homeless. Why should we characterize people like this as bad people if they do not have the spirit to compete? Such meek people often feel as if they are hurting others when they compete with them; they feel that they are taking food from someone else. In consequence the meek may care less for themselves than for others around them to whom they defer their own needs.
This meek quality seems to me to be a virtue. To feel for others so deeply that you would automatically sacrifice yourself at every turn for their benefit no matter how this will affect you seems to me to be a noble character trait. Too many of the homeless are like this, souls rich in kindness and humility that cannot bear the cutthroat atmosphere of our economic world and decline to participate, not out of laziness or moral turpitude, but out of generosity and an inherent will to put other people’s needs ahead of their own.
These people should be our heroes.
We should learn from this example and embrace this ostracized population and take them into our homes and care for them. Instead we characterize them in ways which frighten us and make us more inclined to shun them. The homeless see the world through vastly different eyes than our own and we fear contamination from them. We fear what would happen to us if we shared their world view and understood them. So we distance ourselves from them at every opportunity rather than embrace them.
This is a great injustice to these kind people. Certainly, some among the homeless do not share these virtues and may have unpleasant character traits such as being substance dependent or thieves, but we allow our perception of those among the homeless who may have such unpleasant character traits to color our perceptions of the homeless so that we characterize the general homeless population as being a dangerous group of people whom we must avoid. But those who hide among the homeless to enable themselves to do harm to themselves or to others are not representative of the larger group of homeless people. Many of this class of people who appear to be homeless only camouflage themselves among the homeless and have homes to return to at night. These predatory types who adopt the coloration of being homeless to engage us for their own benefit by panhandling or robbing are only a minority and are often not homeless themselves but only use the disguise of being homeless to their advantage. We should not characterize homeless people as a group with the negative character traits of a minority of that group. We should not shirk our social responsibilities and shun our homeless neighbors out of fear and misunderstanding; we should instead open our hearts to them and show them our love and acceptance.
We often may characterize homeless people as insane or psychotic or schizophrenic, but even in this regard, those with true and serious mental disorders are a minority. What appears so irrational to us is their failure to compete in our society. This is the thing we actually fear the most about homeless people for we are conditioned to compete and to trample and defeat our competition. It seems scary and unnatural to us to see someone who fails to exhibit a strong competitive nature.
One consequence of being homeless is that homeless people often do not have many good opportunities to communicate with people who have stable lives in good homes. They may gravitate deeper into that marginalized portion of society where people are more like them and may share their world view. Consequently they learn to communicate in ways which are poorly understood by people outside of homeless populations. Within groups of homeless people communication skills often break down or evolve into forms that frighten us because we may be unable to understand what a homeless person is trying to say to us. This often causes us to perceive homeless people as being crazy when they are not. Some homeless people may be genuinely crazy but even those homeless people who have adopted the habit of talking to themselves or to people who are not visible to us are not necessarily crazy. Many homeless people who exhibit these behaviors may only be very lonely or may be gifted with a psychic perception that allows them to talk to spirits whom no one else may see. We may perceive these people to be lunatics, but this is because we are afraid to risk understanding them for we fear we may be contaminated by their beliefs. We do not wish to risk becoming like them.
Once upon a time there were more roles in our society for such meek people. They were our home servants, sweeps, gardeners and so forth. Such people were employed by the middle class in large numbers and they lived among us, perhaps not always as equals, but as friends and helpers. But as economic pressures drove more competitive people to take those jobs once held in low regard, and as those same economic pressures made domestic help unaffordable to more and more of the middle class those roles that once were open to people of a less competitive spirit have gradually disappeared and left fewer opportunities for meek people to find a worthwhile role among us.
Consequently, there are more homeless people among us and we face a dilemma. So long as we allow these people to remain marginalized we create an environment within which criminal elements may hide and among which those in need of urgent medical care may die neglected. We make our own world shabbier and more dangerous and our own spirits more filled with guilt, grief and anger by our choices to neglect and ostracize those people among us whose economic fortunes are less than our own.
We owe it to ourselves, to our world and most especially to the homeless people among us to do better for them, even if all we have to give them is a friendly greeting and our warm words.
And somehow, I suspect there is far more that we may give them than our encouragement or a bowl of soup. So do not let your fear of homeless people stifle the humanity in your soul. Open your heart and find something more to give them than your discourtesy or neglect. Not only will you make another person’s day much brighter, but you will feel a satisfying sense of joy and wellbeing in response to all you give to those around you who most need whatever you may have to offer them.

Spiritual Contracts – There are no Victims

If you have ever wondered about the apparent injustices of life you may have reflected on how unfair some things appear to be, especially for people who have been through great hardships. We may often feel we are the victims of circumstances beyond our control and the injuries we are dealt in our lives may make us feel as if god does not care about us or we may decide that god does not exist because a good god would never have allowed these things to happen to us.

There is a popular philosophy among people who explore spirituality which is often discussed by Sylvia Brown and which appears in her written work that describes a spiritual contract we enter into when we begin our various incarnations. In that contract we agree to accept and experience everything which will happen to us in our lives.

This concept of a spiritual contract gets very complex because in one sense it suggests that all the events of our lives are pre-ordained. But a belief in predestination can sometimes be a crippling thing if we choose to disown our responsibility to make choices in our life based on a belief that everything is pre-ordained and therefore we are powerless to change anything.

The concept of fate or predestination seems to fly in the face of the concept of free will. How can we have both? Our free will is a fundamental belief regarding our existence, a tenet so vital and empowering that it seems impossible to reconcile it with the concept of destiny.

Without free will there would be no purpose for our lives, and while many people may feel that it is true that our lives have no purpose, the majority of people believe their lives do have a purpose even if they are uncertain about what their own specific purpose in life may be. So if we do have free will and our lives are purposeful, what happens to the concept of fate?

The concept of fate, destiny or predestination is predicated upon an immature understanding about the nature of reality. Our understanding of space-time and the universe we live in has evolved over time and it is important to understand that this understanding is still evolving. Time only appears to be a linear track moving from the past to the future. That appearance is a limitation of our perceptual and cognitive skills. As our understanding of reality matures we may begin to understand some of the deeper aspects of space-time and we may discover that our universe is not alone and that our universe actually exists as a member of an infinite set of universes described as parallel universes or alternate realities.

If we think of fate as the result of what has happened to us in the past, rather than as a pre-ordained condition that our lives will inevitably meet, then we may see that in an infinite number of alternate universes we have an infinite number of fates, all different from one another to some greater or lesser degree. The concept of a contract which details the events of our lives in each incarnation then seems unlikely because it would have to include an infinite set of events to encompass every possible outcome of our lives.

This does not mean that there is no contract; instead it suggests that the contract we make must be vastly simpler to encompass such enormous complexity. The contract remains the same as it was initially stated; we agree to accept and experience everything which will happen to us in our lives. Only the context in which we consider this contract has changed; we are no longer agreeing to any specific things which may happen in any given instance of one of our many lives, we are instead agreeing to accept and experience everything no matter what those experiences may be.

We can agree to this without qualms because that part of us which makes this agreement is eternal and can never be harmed. So we know that regardless of what happens in our various incarnations we will always exist in an inviolable state beyond reach of any harm that may befall us in any of our lives. Ultimately no harm can ever come to us and all of the actors, regardless of their roles in the dramas of each of our lives, are our friends and family in the larger sense of the spiritual world from which our incarnations are initiated.

Murder, maiming and rape are some extreme examples of the types of experiences which might be considered harmful to those who are considered the victims, however, these only do harm in a limited sense. The bodies and spirits we have in each incarnation are just a tiny infinitesimal part of our entire infinite being in the context of our lives in the spirit world. These terrible things only appear to be harmful in the limited context of this world and these different forms of harm appear to serve a purpose to provide a life lesson or balance our karma.

It is important to remember that the universe is infinite in scope and we ourselves reflect this infinite nature for we are, in each of our incarnations, also infinite. For every situation in which we find ourselves in conflict two or more resolutions occur so that each party in a conflict gets whatever they may need or want. The universe accommodates the resolutions of our conflicts by cloning itself; in one universe we get our way while in another universe the party we are in conflict with gets their way, in this manner no matter how many different ways a conflict may be resolved, all of the possible resolutions are realized, each in its own alternate reality or parallel universe. Pretty nifty eh?

Thanks to the infinite nature of reality all of the people who died in 911 are still carrying on their lives in alternate universes and are still living with their families and friends. Only an infinitesimal part of themselves accepted the role of a 'victim' and died in that event in this universe. It may seem hard on the families and friends of those who died here, but that is only true in the limited context of this universe. In alternate worlds they still have there loved one with them and their lives go on unmarred by the tragedy we have experienced in this world. The friends and family, like the ‘victims’ have agreed to accept and experience this tragedy, and they have agreed to it because in the context of their spiritual lives they know it is only a small thing of no consequence to themselves in the greater scheme of things. They have experienced this tragedy in one aspect of one incarnation, but with infinite aspects to each incarnation they continue to experience their lives in different contexts where the tragedy did not impact them personally and may even never have occurred at all.

Ultimately, no one is really a victim in the sense that everyone has agreed to accept all the experiences of their lives whatever those experiences may be. Legally in the laws limited to this world certain classes of felonies relate to particular classes of victims and many people choose to see themselves as victims of their circumstances rather than take responsibility for their situations to address whatever is wrong and to fix it. We may choose to see these people as victims in the context of this world but their spirits, like our own spirits are the architects of all of their experiences.

Herein is the crux of the matter as related to what we experience in this world. We are indeed the creators of all of our experiences. Nothing happens to us except those events which we ourselves cause or allow to be caused in our lives. We are in control of all of the events in our life and we may choose what we wish experience. So a person who has experienced something we may consider to be terrible has chosen that experience and brought it upon themselves. They may not be consciously aware of having made such a choice; their choice may have been a non-conscious choice made in a subconscious, unconscious or superconscious part of their minds. Quantum physics has demonstrated our minds have a direct influence upon the quantum events which are the bedrock foundation of our physical world. We are in control of all of our experiences and it behooves us to learn how to consciously direct the worldly manifestations of our desires free of any inner conflicts.

A person bemired by inner conflict is incapable of manifesting a satisfactory world for themselves. The consequences of this are that they will have many unsatisfactory, unpleasant or harmful experiences as their inner conflict warps their will in ways that fail to serve them as well as they might be served if their will were not interfered with by their inner turmoil. The only good thing that may come of these experiences is that each unsatisfactory experience, if reflected upon, can be linked back to some part inside of us where there is a conflict. By tracing back the cause and effect relationship between our inner turmoil and that turmoil’s outer manifestations in the world we can learn where within ourselves we need to heal in order to grow happier and healthier and manifest a world that is full of experiences in harmony with our best hopes and expectations.

By clearing ourselves of inner turmoil and establishing peace within our hearts and minds we become the conscious and conscientious masters of everything we experience.
It is up to us to learn this for ourselves. Many people may point the way for us but we are the only ones who can set forth upon our private spiritual journeys of self discovery and self empowerment, no one else can take our steps for us.

Until then, if we perceive ourselves as victims it behooves us to remember that we are the only ones who can victimize ourselves and that it is our own ignorance and failure to learn our life lessons which cause us to feel victimized.

Ultimately, there are no victims.

Our Spirits and Incarnations – Are We Many or One?

Believers in reincarnation know that we lead many different lives in our various incarnations. Some of these lives appear to be in our past while some of our lives may appear to be in our future. We may be living some of our lives in different forms or on different worlds, somewhere other than on Earth. Have you ever wondered how are all of our different lives may be related to one another? Can we ever know?

Could the belief in past lives and reincarnation become so commonplace that we may one day be required to describe our past life experiences in our resumes? It seems unlikely that we will ever have to disclose our previous lives’ experiences in our resumes in this world, but there may be worlds where our spiritual evolution has progressed to a degree where this is a common practice. The theme of posting our past life experiences in our resumes has already been explored in stories; those stories may very well reflect valid alternate realities.
The life we are living now in this world is but one instance of infinitely many incarnations of our spirit. The nature of space-time is such that while we perceive things as being spread out in time and space, all of space-time is interconnected in a manner such that it all folds back into a single quantum state in which all the sundry parts are just one part without the properties of either space or time. In this way all of time exists concurrently in the single moment we may consider now.
Consequently, all of our past and future lives are being experienced by our spirit now, even the length of our incarnate lives from our birth to death is experienced now in the context of our spiritual existence. The world our spirits appear to inhabit is a state outside of our familiar view of space-time and our spirits never leave their spirit world to be incarnated. (We really should drop the ‘re’ from reincarnation because reincarnation implies a passage of time from past to future and really it is all happening now.)
Sometimes I like to imagine our spiritual form as being like a sort of cloud with infinitely many tendrils that extend into an infinite number of worlds where our spirits are incarnate. Each of the tendrils of this cloud-like spiritual state of being represents a lifetime in a different world. In our incarnate lives we remain attached to our spiritual body but we may be unaware of our spirit’s other tendrils and we may have only a dim perception of the cloud-like spiritual being of which we are an integral part.
Some people describe our death in this life as a passing away of everything we have been in this life in order to attain consciousness in our spiritual form in the after-life. They make it seem as if all that we have been here in this world will one day be gone forever. But that is a limited view which is constrained by our concepts of space-time; all of creation is actually eternal. The worldly aspects of creation which we experience here in this life appear ephemeral only because we are trained to follow time from past to future and within the context of this passage of time we may never go back. Every moment that has ever existed is a part of the eternal creation from which it sprang and every moment will exist eternally for time itself has no final end; time has only a beginning.
On the spirit level we may share ourselves with many other spirits, but one of the primary means by which we share ourselves with other spirits is through our many incarnations. In the spirit world we are not fragmented or divided in any way, all of our incarnations exist as connected parts of our spiritual selves; our incarnate lives complete our spiritual lives. Our infinitely many incarnations are never separate from us in any way except in the case of our perceptions from within the context of our incarnate lives.
In our various incarnations we perceive ourselves as separate beings and we are typically unaware of our connectedness to our infinite spirits. We may sometimes catch glimpses of our other incarnations from within one or another of our other incarnations. These glimpses may be of incarnations which appear to be either in our past or in our future in context to the current life in which we glimpse them. These other incarnations may be in many different worlds, rather than only here on Earth. We may glimpse the incarnations of other spirits as well as our own alternate incarnations and we may mistakenly perceive some of the incarnations of other spirits as if they were our own incarnations because the manner in which we perceive these other lives in other worlds can often be so overwhelmingly intimate and familiar to us that we identify with those other lives quite strongly.
It appears to be the case that on another level all of our spirits in the spirit world resemble tendrils from one all-encompassing being which we might call god or the ultimate being. That completeness of being should not be described as a state of being, because a state of being implies other states of being and therefore separateness; this ultimate being is the indivisible sum of all of our spirits where we have all merged together. In this greater context in which we are all one we may experience the popular wisdom expressed by the rock group Gong:
You are I or I am you
You I am or I am you
You am I or am I you
You are Maya Ram are you
You are my Hiram are you
You am I or I am you
You are Maya I am you
You am I as I are you
You are Maya's eye are you
You are I or I am you...
… (Album: You; song: “You Never Blow Yr Trip Forever”)
So we are really both many and one. Our many incarnations are joined together as one infinite spirit, and our unique spirit is joined together with all other spirits in a unity in which we are god. However, if we were to live this unity where we are all one we would be departing from the purpose of being uniquely separate incarnate beings, so while we may have experienced or understood that we are all miraculously and intimately related to one another, in the context of our individual incarnations we have a purpose to serve in which our uniqueness should be celebrated rather than denied.

The Thinning ‘Veil’ – Will It Completely Disappear?

Those who are interested in the steady increase in spiritual or psychic phenomena should know that many attribute this to a phenomenon they describe as ‘the thinning of the veil’. The veil protects us from being overloaded by discarnate spirits. For some people this raises an alarm, they wonder that if the veil is there to protect us and if it really is thinning, can it disappear altogether? What will happen to us if the veil were to one day disappear completely?

The veil is that which lies between incarnate and discarnate spirits. The veil is there to help our incarnate forms to remain focused on our worldly goals rather than be distracted by the plights of recently deceased beings.
Those who have recently died are often in a state of turmoil because they do not know how or have not yet remembered how to integrate with their infinite spirit. When a death has been particularly traumatic the discarnate form of the spirit can take a long time to heal and may be very distressed. Or, when a large number of incarnate beings suddenly become discarnate beings all at the same time then their sheer numbers can keep each other in distress much longer than if they were not reinforcing each others distress with their own distress.
All of these forms of distress that some recently discarnated beings may experience can be a burden for those incarnate souls who are sensitive to them, so we have the veil to shield us from all of this while we live as incarnate beings.
Is the veil thinning? That is the apparent perception. We see it that way because at this time more and more people are communicating with discarnate spirits and it is becoming easier for us to do so. But I think it is not the case that the veil is actually thinning. I think we have that mistaken perception because our abilities to communicate through the veil are getting stronger. We are evolving as spiritual beings and acquiring greater skills in all manner of psychic abilities, and our mediumship ability is working better now than it has in the past.
If the veil is not thinning then it will not disappear.
If the veil is thinning, it will still not disappear entirely because some incarnate beings must still be protected from the thoughts and feelings of recently discarnated beings.
So either way, the veil is here to stay.
One other reason the veil appears to be thinning is that in the not too distant future about 3 billion human beings pass away, all within a span of time of about ten or twelve years, these 3 billion will be immediately followed by about 4 billion more. About 3 billion survivors of this decline and cataclysm all die in the brief years that follow, so that in a span of less than twenty years we become extinct as a species on this planet.
Fortunately we have infinite lives in infinite worlds so there will always be worlds where we avoid this mass extinction. Unfortunately our world will not be lucky enough to avoid this mass extinction if we do not start working to prevent it ASAP.
With so many humans suddenly discarnated in such a brief time there are more spirits than ever in great distress and we sense them from our future as our abilities to communicate with these discarnated spirits grow.
My current understanding places this mass extinction around the year 2076. That may change over time depending on how we work to prevent that future from becoming our own future. It may draw closer if we accelerate the processes by which we will have doomed ourselves. It may grow more distant if we are partially successful in preventing it, and it may one day never threaten to be our fate again if we successfully avert our doom.
So the 'thinning of the veil' is a good thing. More and more discarnated spirits from our future will be able to share their warnings with us in order to try to save themselves from the doom we have already begun to create for them.
Our anxiety about the thinning of the veil is our anxiety about two things. One thing is the content of the messages we are receiving from those who will have passed away in our extinction; those messages are very disturbing. The other thing is that many of those discarnated spirits from our future are exceptionally angry with us for allowing their world to be doomed; their expressions of anger may badly frighten us.
As the messages from our future become more clamorous and dramatic we may begin to realize our responsibility to save our descendants from this doom. We may still change this terrible future and attain a sustainable relationship with our world.
So, regardless of whether the veil is thinning, let us take heart in the messages we receive from the future and use those urgent messages to build a sustainable future for us all.

For details about this particular future in which we all may die please read my stories titled ‘2076’.

Magick – Creating a New World

There are a great many magickal traditions practiced today and they all share several common elements. The primary element of a magickal tradition is the importance of spiritual growth and development. From that point all else follows and nothing can be achieved without it. Magick is a process whereby we may direct the world with our will to manifest whatever we wish for. Research in quantum physics shows that we may directly influence the world we live in through our thoughts and beliefs. Magick embodies this principle and helps us to realize it so that we may use our will to re-create the world around us.

Magick – Creating a New World

Magick is predicated upon the belief that the universe will respond to our wishes if we know how to express those wishes clearly and direct them consciously so that they may be made manifest unhindered by inner conflict. Inner conflict, poor understanding and negative ways of thinking inhibit us from successfully attaining whatever we may want in life. So magickal traditions are disciplines designed to help us resolve our inner conflicts, to better understand the nature of reality and to train our minds to think in positive terms free of any negative thoughts.

Sages throughout the ages have understood the power of our will when guided by spiritual principles and have taught that the world we experience is one of our own making. Now quantum physics is leading us in the same direction.

Quantum physics holds forth the promise of a convergence between science and mysticism. Quantum physics provides a rational foundation to explain how magick works. One result of our exploration of quantum physics has been to suggest that there may be concrete evidence for the existence of parallel universes or multi-dimensional worlds. I myself have no doubt regarding the existence of parallel universes or multi-dimensional worlds; they are a fundamental part of what makes magick practical or functional.

Regardless of a belief or a disbelief in a creator or primary deity, I believe our worlds and our universes are living beings with the properties of awareness, consciousness, intellect, feeling, compassion, etc... On another level our worlds and universes also appear to be created artifacts which we have made for the purpose of fulfilling all of our needs and desires.

Quantum physicists have discovered that the quantum foam responds to our thoughts and beliefs and can be channeled to produce results that reflect our expectations. In this manner the worlds we create may be changed from moment to moment by our will which would be the mechanical explanation for how all magick works.

Our invocations, rituals, tools and so forth are just different ways of recognizing the complexity of the mechanics of creation and reducing that complexity to something more personal and manageable. For instance, we may have a thought form which we call a psychic shield which is the result of our having understood the principle of interference. We take our understanding and make it into a thought form so that we do not have to retrace the entire path that leads to the understanding every time we wish to employ the concept. The thought form embodies the concept in our intellect and makes it more accessible to our heart.

To create a magickal tool we may then charge an object such as a crystal or pyramid or talisman with the thought form of a psychic shield so that the presence and usefulness of our psychic shield are always there even when we may turn our attention aside and forget to maintain the thought form of a psychic shield in our consciousness.

The tool works because we given it our power; we have imbued it with our energy in the form of a psychic shield. We may externalize the source of the power and say it comes from one deity or another or some elemental or spiritual being, but why bother to employ a power other than our own?

I believe these supernatural beings exist because they embody very large complex patterns that are fundamental to the way the universe is organized; they must be living beings because it takes a conscious will to keep the processes which contribute to the creation of our worlds working smoothly and consistently. But I also believe that we may come to understand these complex patterns for ourselves and we will then no longer require the assistance of any power or force which might be regarded as external to ourselves to work our magick.

Our magickal traditions provide a path to achieve our spiritual development so that we may clear ourselves of conflicting beliefs, ideas and desires all of which make it harder for our world to understand what we want and deliver it. Our magickal traditions incorporate concepts of morality or justice because the only way our universes will work to provide what we want is if everyone has an equal opportunity to receive what they need. We have parallel universes and multi-dimensional worlds because in this manner everyone can experience whatever they uniquely require even if those requirements are in conflict with someone else’s. Wherever two persons’ requirements exist which exclude one another a universe is created for each person to fulfill each person’s need in which the other person’s need has been excluded. This allows each person’s need to be fulfilled and neither person is entirely denied.

The magick practitioner must have a thought form that embodies this principle to be successful. A typical symbol of this thought form is a scale where the measure of each need may be made equally. The magick practitioner knows that they must sacrifice a dimension of themselves to the party with whom they are in conflict, such that in the fulfillment of the need of the other person the magick practitioner must exist in that world unfulfilled, knowing that in their own world the fulfillment of the magick practitioner’s will is then made manifest.

The magick practitioner must have a means of disengaging from the state of their sacrificed self so that any complaint that part of them may make in regard to this bargain is cut off. This is the purpose of an athame, a magick practitioner’s spiritual blade, to sever from oneself that part which is sacrificed so that no attachment remains to an unfulfilled state. Such an attachment would create inner conflict that would sabotage the magick practitioner’s will.

One basic principle of magickal traditions is that we must give in order to receive. That which we must give is always something of ourselves. We may externalize the sacrifices we make and choose to ritualize our sacrifices but ultimately anything we give comes from us and we must give of ourselves feely and completely so deeply that we sacrifice entire lives which were once ours in the process. This only becomes possible when we understand we are each infinite beings and we have as many lives at our disposal as we may need so that we may sacrifice them as required to pursue our spiritual growth and develop the clarity of our will.

Each of the lives we sacrifice is given to another person to do with as they will. These shadows of ourselves which are freely given to everyone free us from conflicts with anyone we may meet. Our sacrificed shadows obey the will of the persons to whom they are given in the context of those persons’ worlds. We are then free to pursue our own will in our own world.

It is important for the magick practitioner to remain clearly focused in regard to their identity as a light being in their own world. If they accidentally identify with one of their shadow beings they must then free themselves from subjugation to some other person’s will leaving a shadow of themselves in their place and return to their own world in which they are the light from which all other parts of themselves shine forth. The symbol of the sun represents the consciousness required to achieve this focused self awareness.

In this manner many symbols and tools may be used to objectify arcane principles and personal properties so that the magick practitioner will have at their disposal whatever they may need to accomplish their will. As the magick practitioner progresses upon their spiritual path the symbols and tools employed become internalized and function smoothly without further need to rely on anything external to the magick practitioner. The world of the magick practitioner is then re-created as a place of abundance in which the will of the magick practitioner is consistently made manifest.

Evil Spirits – Can we be Haunted or Possessed?

We may sometimes come to believe we are haunted or possessed by some malign entity who may mean to harm us. There are often mysterious or dramatic events or illnesses associated with this belief. We may consult a psychic or cleric for help and have this belief confirmed, but are we really haunted or possessed? If we have indeed become attached in some way to an evil spirit what are our options?

Evil Spirits – Can we be Haunted or Possessed?

I have had clients come to me to describe being haunted or they may raise concerns that they may be possessed. It is often the case that what my clients were experiencing was just a case of reckless imagination. But sometimes there have been those odd feelings that there might be some truth to the matter. Fortunately the same advice which can help a subject who is genuinely haunted or possessed can also help a subject whose imagination is the only thing possessing them.

If I were to tell an imaginative subject that they were not haunted or possessed they would be strongly inclined to disbelieve me no matter how gently or eloquently I might try to lead them to the truth. The subject has chosen to adopt a belief that they may be haunted or possessed for a reason; they may want attention, or they may sometimes exhibit peculiar or embarrassing behavior which they are trying to explain away by being haunted or possessed, or they may just want an excuse to be able to do things they know are wrong or hurtful. Whatever their motive for choosing to believe that they may be haunted or possessed they are most often looking for some form of reinforcement of their belief rather than disillusionment.

Consequently, challenging their belief will not help a subject and may actually harm them; if a reactive formation occurs in a subject’s mind in response to being challenged then a challenge may actually wind up reinforcing their chosen belief rather than dissuading them from it. Therefore, treating an imaginative subject as a genuinely haunted or possessed person is often the best option a psychic or spiritual counselor may have because by doing so we may make an alliance with our subject and be perceived as their friend; in this way the client may become more trusting and open to our advice and guidance.

In regards to the truly haunted or possessed person it must be understood that a subject in this state has allowed this to happen to them. It may most often be the case that they are entirely unaware of having opened themselves up to this experience, nevertheless it is so. Nothing can ever happen to us against our will. However, our will can be a tricky thing for it is divided among our several states of consciousness and such an agreement may be made upon any of the levels of our minds which are known as the consciousness, sub-consciousness, unconsciousness or super-consciousness. Typically we are scarcely aware of most of our thoughts below the level of our consciousness and we cannot immediately apprehend that on some level of our mind we have agreed to experience everything which happens in our lives.

In the case of a subject who believes they may be haunted or possessed the subject of their responsibility for what has happened must be broached very gently.

It is important to stress to subjects who feel the presence of some malign entity in their lives that they can take control of their situation and change it. Whether real or imagined, if the subject believes that evil spirits are molesting them then terrible things may happen to them as a consequence. By helping the subject to become actively involved in addressing and resolving their issue we may be able to guide them to empower themselves to put an end to the matter before it can do them any further harm.

The state of belief that their lives have been invaded by an evil spirit is a form of harm in itself. The subject typically feels powerless in this situation and surrenders control of some part of their life to their belief. By surrendering any control over their life to another entity or to a part of themselves which indulges in unpleasant or hazardous behavior they have taken the first step upon a road which may lead them to do further injury to themselves or to others, particularly their loved ones who will often be distraught by the circumstances created by a person who is either genuinely haunted or possessed, or who believes themselves to be so.

Regardless of whether a person is truly haunted or possessed or only believes themselves to be so the subject must empower themselves to change their situation. Sometimes a subject’s culture provides tools for dealing with these phenomena, such as using candles or bells and invoking good spirits or raising a white shield. Sometimes such a subject is open to adopting such tools from a different culture and may have already tried to do so. Unfortunately, the tools and rituals for psychic cleansing to rid oneself of evil spirits may not always work because the real work is done by the individual who is experiencing the problem. The tools and rituals are only aides to focus the resolve of the subject to end the situation and such tools have no power in and of themselves. All the power to create the circumstances in which a subject comes to believe that they may be haunted or possessed came from within that individual, and so the only power which will help them will also come from within them.

Many people may object and say that god, or a saint, angel, spirit guide or psychic may help someone who is haunted or possessed. It is my belief that this may be true in practice, and that any of these may succeed in regard to freeing a subject from their evil spirit. However, I also believe that this type of help only does the subject further harm, particularly if they have turned to a skillful charlatan for help. A skillful charlatan can influence the mind of a possessed or haunted subject to successfully guide the subject to relieve themselves of their attachment to a malign entity; but in this case the charlatan may also be regarded as a malign entity for it is in the nature of such a person to use their knowledge to take advantage of a subject and relieve their subject of their worldly goods or services to benefit themselves.

Putting the motive of worldly gain aside, a subject has been harmed if they believe that an entity other than themselves has relieved them of their problem with an evil spirit, whether that help came from god, or a saint, angel, spirit guide or psychic. This is because in this case the subject has not empowered themselves to manage their own life and has instead surrendered their power in this situation to another party. It does not matter how well intentioned an assisting party may be, if the party who assists such a subject fails to guide the subject to a state of self-empowerment then they have done that subject a disservice or injustice.

The most important issue here is to guide the subject of a malign influence or belief to a state where they empower themselves so that they may independently resolve the issue to their satisfaction.

The subject must be guided into the understanding that everything that happens to them occurs because they have allowed it to happen to them even when they may feel they have not given their permission to allow some particular thing to happen to them, such as being haunted or possessed.

The subject must learn that they are an inviolable being. They must know that no entity, whether it is an incorporeal being or an incarnate being, can ever harm them against their will in any way whatsoever. Ultimately, the subject must accept the wisdom that all the things they may have perceived as having hurt them in their life have actually helped them since they would otherwise never have agreed to allow these things to happen.

Sometimes a subject may make examples of murder, rape or maiming and say “But look! These people have all been hurt!"

It may seem very insensitive to say that in these cases any people who have had these violent traumatic experiences are all responsible for having brought those experiences upon themselves, but that is the spiritual truth of the matter.

All of our experiences are opportunities for our further spiritual growth and development. Even if we are slain our spirits go on and we may learn from our experience. Some lessons are much harder for some of us than for others and we may not always 'get it' when these lessons appear in our lives, but sooner or later we will learn our lessons and we will then be able to move on to new lessons.

At the point when we finally ‘get it’, whatever our lesson may be, any pain or displeasure associated with learning the lesson disappears. Once we have finally understood a particular lesson we become grateful for everything done on our behalf to teach us our lesson, even if it is gratitude toward someone whom we once felt hurt by.

When the subject of a haunting or possession finally ‘gets it’ that they have created their situation and that they were always in control of it, then they may relieve themselves of any unpleasantness that they may have associated with their experience and move on.

Typically, the lesson involved in cases of haunting or possession is to show the subject two things. The first thing the subject must learn is that they themselves are the center of all power in their life and that they have total control over everything they experience. The second thing the subject may learn is that there is a subtle world beyond the conventional world we experience, a world full of great mysteries to be explored.

So while it is possible that at some time in our lives we may come to believe we may be haunted or possessed and that it is further possible that our belief in this regard is true, we can only become haunted or possessed if we ourselves allow it to happen to us.

And who knows? It may be fun!

Remote Healing – No Permission Needed

Spiritual and psychic healing arts have entered our cultural mainstream. With the widespread acceptance of the healing arts remote healing (aka distance or absent healing) has been gaining tremendous ground on the internet. The internet is an ideal medium for initiating instances of remote healing. If you are in need of care or have the capacity to share your compassion and healing energy with someone else you can easily hook up across the internet. Healing is free energy, and while you will always run across someone trying to market their energy you don’t need to pay for this blessing and you will now always be able to find someone who will help you for free.

Remote Healing – No Permission Needed

Whether we describe the healing arts as psychical or spiritual, all healing through prayers, meditation, visualization, channeling, etc… fall into the category of spiritual healing.

Spiritual healings are a special case of communication between a healer and their subject. The way this works is that the healer visualizes the healing for the subject and the subject then accepts the energy and imagery sent to them by the healer. The subject may then respond by healing themselves. The healer provides only two things, energy and imagery, the rest of the healing work is done by the subject themselves.

However, spiritual healing will only work if the subject’s best interests are served by being healed. If the subject has reservations about being healed or doubts regarding the practice of spiritual healing then there may be only limited success, or the healing may appear to have entirely failed.

Some healings may begin early in a subject’s life and may not manifest any noticeable results until much later depending on circumstances. The subject may need to acquire the spiritual discipline to learn how to accept the influence of the healer or the subject may have a life lesson tied to their problem which has priority over their apparent wellbeing. Either of these circumstances may delay or disguise the initial result or benefit of a healing.

It can be difficult for a subject to overcome their doubts or reservations about spiritual healing. While our world is full of examples of spiritual healing and testimonials, there are also charlatans about who spoil the art for profit. One keystone of any true spiritual healing is you never have to pay for it. The true spiritual healer reaps their reward through the act of healing. If after a subject is healed they choose to offer the healer some additional reward, then that is between the subject and the healer and the healer may accept or refuse whatever is offered.

Aside from a general doubt or skepticism based on a fear of deception a subject may have reservations based on their religious upbringing or beliefs about the nature of reality. Some religions frown on some types of spiritual healing, perhaps because of competition or mistrust of the source of the healing power. If they cannot clearly attribute that power to god then they may proscribe it, and such a proscription will make it difficult for some subjects to accept a spiritual healing. A subject’s belief systems must allow for the possibility of being spiritually healed for a healing to be effective for them. If there is some conflict of beliefs the subject will have to study the issue until they can resolve any doubt or skepticism and accept the reality of spiritual healing as part of their world view.

A subject who is genuinely open minded, with an open heart who is ready to heal has very good prospects of successfully being healed after finding a spiritual healing practitioner.

One of the wonders of the internet is that you can meet some pretty amazing people who may not advertise their spiritual healing abilities but who may just send a subject the energy they need with no strings attached. Often their may be some dialogue between a subject and a healer the subject has found on the internet whereby it is acknowledged that the healer will send them their energy, and typically there are still no strings attached.

A healer who tries to exact a price for healing often puts themselves in a poor situation where they may do themselves more harm than good. Genuine psychic or spiritual healers understand this principle and have faith that their rewards will come without having to ask their subjects for anything.

Distance healing or remote healing works because there is really no distance involved at all; this is because a spiritual healing occurs between two spirits who communicate outside of space-time and can therefore communicate to one another regardless of their incarnate place or time. Any distance perceived between the healer and the subject is irrelevant in the context of the connection that is made between their eternal spirits.

One of the great boons of the internet is that we can now know specifically when someone anywhere in the world can benefit by our attention, devotion and care. It can be hard to make a specific healing connection with someone when we have no 'spiritual address' to channel our healing, love and nurture through, but our messages to one another are enough to initialize such a connection. Our own words are far better at creating a connection for spiritual healing than a word of mouth relay. By reading one another's words we have a direct window into each other's minds and souls. Perhaps it’s not as good as speaking on the phone or face to face, but in one way it is better.

When we write we have the time to edit and make clear choices about the words we use to express ourselves to our best advantage. So I think the internet is going to go a long way to helping anyone who cares or who requires care to come together and heal.

Many spiritual healing traditions say that we must ask the subject whether they may want to be healed and get their permission to heal them. However, this simply is not true. The asking and permission do take place, but they are handed on the spiritual level and we need not be concerned about any formal asking or permission in regard to the incarnate form of the subject.

The reason we do not need to ask permission is that it is the nature of healing and all spiritual work that no harm is ever done. If harm is perceived there is a misunderstanding somewhere, we are incapable of harming one another when we act from a spiritually centered place.

Any actions from a place in which we are not spiritually centered will be of no consequence because our spirits naturally adjust and compensate for whatever energy or imagery we may send or receive, such that we always give or receive what is needed. If we find any fault in the result of a healing we may simply have failed to understand the process or results.

Because a spiritual healing can never do any harm, it is never required to 'ask permission' to heal someone.

Some healing traditions imagine that energy sent to a subject who has not agreed to be healed may be ‘lost’. But this is just not possible. The energy is never lost if it is not accepted, for it will always be accepted on the soul level even if the subject appears to refuse it on another level. It may not always result in the desired effect for the individual being healed, but that is because it is processed and reformed by the subject’s spirit to best fit whatever their incarnation requires at the moment.

Often a remote healing will work when the subject is entirely unaware that someone is trying to help them. My first experience with remote healing came when I was a teenager. I was assisted by some friends who were experimenting with remote healing. I had no idea what had transpired until much later. At that time I was a passenger in a car and I was having an intense asthma attack. Suddenly this amazing energy washed over me and my asthma attack abruptly ended. Good thing too, it was a terribly inconvenient time to visit a doctor for help!

When I next saw my friends they told me they had been experimenting with 'orgone' energy and remote healing and had thought of me and then channeled their energy to me because they felt I might be in distress. What a wonder! But then, I had some pretty good friends in those days and we did a lot of experimenting with spiritual and psychic phenomena.

Whether you are currently in need of help or have the capacity to offer your aide to others, remote healing really works and it is rapidly becoming a more commonplace practice thanks to the internet.

Like the ‘hands on’ approaches to healing, remote healing may address many kinds of spiritual ailments. While it is often inadvisable to use spiritual healing for a medical condition without first receiving an informed medical opinion and following your doctor’s advice, many people have reported successful healing from all manners of physical ailments. According to the vast majority of spiritual healing traditions spiritual healing works by dealing with those issues in a subject’s heart or mind which have caused their distress in the first place. But where spiritual healing truly excels is in helping us to become better aligned or attuned to our own souls so that we may clearly hear the messages from our heart and act on them without hesitation or resistance.

When our hearts are fully open everything becomes possible to us. Our open hearts are the means by which we heal both ourselves and the world we live in.

Past Lives – What Are They Really?

New age culture has embraced the Hindu philosophy of reincarnation with abandon. Many people eagerly relate stories about their ‘past life’ experiences. I, for one, am certain that we have many incarnations, and therefore we have some lives which may genuinely be our past lives. But there are charlatans and Tom foolery afoot, so not all past life experiences may be valid examples of the principles of reincarnation. More interesting than recalling past lives, however, is the recollection of future lives. Where are the anecdotes for these experiences? For if we have past lives it then stands to reason that we have future lives as well.

Past Lives – What Are They Really?

Past life experiences have become a commonplace in our culture, particularly among the ‘new age’ crowd. Skeptics rightly note that far too many people are claiming to have been noteworthy historical figures, or are being told by psychics that they have been someone famous and easily recognized from the past. This strongly suggests that there may be a great deal of self-delusion and flimflammery going about.
Information that might bear out many claims regarding past lives is typically unavailable or unconvincing and we must listen to such accounts with an open heart and open mind because regardless of the truth of someone’s account of a past life they deserve respect and our due consideration at the very least. Often they may have some cryptic message to impart which, once understood, may prove valuable either to their audience or to themselves.
What is the mechanism by which we are able to recall or relate to past life events?
One theory maintains that past life memories are inherited through our DNA, but I think the metaphorical use of the concept of DNA as a way to make past life experiences appear to be scientific may be flawed.
The model of spirituality which sets the context for reincarnation describes each of us as an eternal spirit. Our eternal spirits are said to choose incarnations for the purpose of growth and experience. Our eternal spirits stand outside of space-time as we are familiar with it; our linear concepts of time do not apply when referencing our eternal souls, therefore from the point of view of our spiritual essence all of our incarnations take place concurrently. Any division in time or space between these lives is something our limited conceptual skills apply to these phenomena, and this warps our understanding of the subtle reality underlying the nature of our various incarnations.
From the spirit point of view all of our incarnations are in the present moment. So those of our alternate lives which we may describe as being in either the future or the past are equally real.
Quantum physics has demonstrated that all of creation is intimately interconnected, such that a change in state of any single part results in a change of state in all parts instantaneously, no matter how far apart the parts may be in space-time. This is because at the most fundamental level all parts are but aspects of a single entity. These connections between every part of creation transcend the limits of space-time and are able to share information.
When considered in regard to our understanding of quantum physics our past or future life experiences are more likely to arise from direct communication between two incarnations of a trans-mediumship nature, rather than from an inherited memory. Unfortunately, it remains impossible to clearly state whether these two incarnations share a common soul or spirit. They could be entirely unrelated to a common soul and still communicate. However, it seems likely that we would have a better chance of accessing other lives which share our soul in common because we would naturally have an affinity for such. So many experiences of past lives may be genuine, while many more may be examples of clairvoyance or mediumship.
The memory argument still has one leg to stand on. The vast majority of experiences in which other lives are related to our own seem to flow in only one direction in regard to time, from the past to the present. The accounts of future lives are rare or nil unless we consider that prophecy may be based on experiences of future lives.
However, the memory theory regarding how we learn about our past life experiences may only have arisen because of our limited experience in discourse upon these matters. Our ability to talk about anything is limited to the concepts we hold in our minds. Since we have a strong belief in the concept of time as a linear experience which can only move from past to future, and because we have a conceptual model for memory that may be used to explain how our minds apprehend information, it is natural for our culture to have evolved a belief system based on memory to explain how we can relate with our other lives’ experiences.
If we discard the memory theory which appears to be an artifact of how our minds and cultures work rather than a genuine explanation of the mechanics of relating to past lives then the way is open to consider whatever communications we may receive from our future lives.
The messages we receive from ourselves in the times ahead of us may be the most important ones of all.
My conclusion would be that we all have many lives and that contrary to popular belief these lives all exist concurrently, rather than distributed across space-time. That we communicate with something beyond ourselves is often very clear, although whether these are our own alternate incarnations we share experiences with or we are sharing experiences with the incarnations of other souls is not clear. This issue of the lives of a single soul vs. the lives of two different spirits is probably beyond the philosophical capacity of our ability to know in a dialectical manner. However it is possible for us to resolve each related instance of this issue independently in our hearts where we may always know the truth if we remain clearly centered and free of any investments our egos may have in the matter.

Perhaps we've met already in another lifetime, warm regards, Greg

Hell in a Nutshell

If you have ever been concerned about your prospects in the 'afterlife', particularly with regard to the possibility of going to Hell, then please be assured that all the stories and myths and warnings have twisted the facts. This isn't to say there won't be Hell to pay if you have hurt someone or hurt yourself, but Hell is not an eternal punishment; rather, Hell is just a part of our path upon our spiritual journey and Hell can be a wonderful place to visit once you understand what is really going on there.

Hell in a Nutshell

Do you believe in Hell?

One wonder of creation is that whatever our beliefs may be, our beliefs have power and can influence what we will experience in life or in death. So if you believe in Hell you may be heading there, particularly if you harbor pain or sorrow in your heart.

I can tell you this because I have returned from Hell myself. It turned out to be very different from what I at first believed.

At first it was a lot like the descriptions from Dante’s Inferno and various bibles and other sources such as TV, movies or novels. But these similarities existed because my mind had incorporated them into my old concepts of the afterlife.

The first details of Hell which I experienced turned out to be illusions of my mind and these slowly fell away from me over time as I revisited Hell more frequently and became more familiar with what was going on there. There were guides through Hell who appeared as I needed them, but these guides turned out not to be the fiends they at first appeared to be.

The guides through Hell were more angelical than demonic in nature but it took me time to realize that their intent was helpful rather than malign.

The guides returned me to my path over and over again by both direct and indirect means until I reached the center of Hell. There I discovered that the center of Hell is not in the center of the Earth as stories and myths have told; instead, I found the center of Hell in the center of my heart. You will find Hell in your own heart too if you are burdened by pain and regret.

These might seem like alarming words, but bear with me, for one of the mysteries revealed to me is that Hell is not at all a bad place. The literal meaning of Hell is, after all, Light.

The alleged ruler of Hell, Lucifer, is also known as the Angel of Light. He is alternately known as the Prince of Darkness because he has the power of Light over Darkness and can thereby master the darkness in our hearts and banish it. Likewise the Angel of light is known as the Master of Lies because that Angel knows the truth in our hearts and reveals it to us, thereby empowering us to overcome our self-deceits and the lies of others which we have mistakenly chosen to believe.

Anyway, I arrived at the center of Hell after many delays and wanderings and found myself confronted by the Devil Himself. Well he looked pretty ugly and terrifying and wicked and I was of course feeling some trepidation as I approached the Being before me. But I sensed compassion and warmth of character radiating from this frightful creature and I continued to approach. As I approached I could feel my heart opening up and changing, becoming lighter.

The countenance of the One before me changed as I approached becoming less demonic in appearance and more angelical with every step I took until I was running to embrace this one who stood in the very center of my heart.

It was my own self whom I embraced. The one who had appeared before me was but the final guide along the way.

In that wonderful embrace many illusions fell away from my mind and I felt the eternal presence of Spirit and I was transported to Heaven. I was no longer my Earthly incarnate identity, but instead had awakened to my eternal self, that which I truly am. It was a most joyous occasion; an occasion for which I was literally dying to experience.

I made this journey through Hell many times through many mortal experiences of death and my eternal other-life. (The after-life is an entirely inadequate term, there is only life after life; death is but another illusion.)

As my experiences with dying and my other-life were repeated, my memories of these experiences became strong enough to blossom in my conscious mind which is how I can now relate these experiences to you.

As I became more familiar with death and my other-life I learned we have three choices when we die. We may be resurrected or returned to the life we have just departed to carry on as if we had not just died, or we may be reincarnated to a different life in a strange or familiar world, or we may abide awhile in the other-life sharing with our family of friends there, renewing our spirits before choosing to return to an incarnate form for further lessons and adventures.

But I also learned that before we may avail ourselves of any of these options we have one duty to ourselves. We must become clear. We must acknowledge all the hurtful things in our heart, those things which we did or said which brought pain or suffering to others or to ourselves. We have only ourselves to answer to in the ultimate moment of death; we need only be truthful with ourselves to pass through this moment and move on.

Unfortunately I have often had some difficulty in facing myself and acknowledging truth within myself. It was the resistance to know myself in my own heart which made the journey to the light so tortuous and painful.

It is understood by Spirit that some spirits will run from the light rather than face it, which is why our guides through Hell may trick us into running to the light when we might otherwise resist. The guides through Hell are psychological projections of parts of ourselves who know the truth in our hearts and who know what we are running away from. So our guides sometimes use misdirection and deceit to get us to confront the pain and sorrow in our hearts so that we may release ourselves from bondage to them.

Eventually we may find our ways through Hell, even if it takes an eternity. Eternity is, after all, only a single moment in the other-life. So as long as it takes is as long as we need it to be, neither more nor less, and once that dreaded moment has passed we become free to be the pure beings of light we were always meant to be.

Hell la lu Jah! …(translates as “Light From You God”)

Now go to Hell! …(but wait for me).
